  • 3 ½ cups whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 whole package of instant rise yeast
Instructions
  1. Proof the yeast by combining the entire package with the water in a bowl. Allow the bowl to sit, undisturbed, for approximately 8 minutes. Pour the olive oil, sugar, and salt in to the bowl. Get a spatula or stand mixer with a dough hook and work the whole wheat flour in to the water. Spread the all-purpose flour on to the counter and wait approximately 1 hour for the dough in the bowl to rise.
  2. Move the whole grain pizza crust recipe from the bowl to the floured space. Divide the dough into three different pieces. Roll each piece and allow to rise for an hour.
  3. Store excess dough in the fridge or freezer, depending on how soon you are going to end up using it.
